«SopraTTUTTO_aboveALL», a work made of recycled materials

SopraTTUTTO_aboveALL
From February 6 to 9, 2025, on the occasion of the thirteenth edition of the ART CITY Bologna weekend – the program of exhibitions, events and initiatives promoted by the Municipality of Bologna, in collaboration with BolognaFiere in the context of Arte Fiera – Mediamorphosis, the communication and ADV agency, with the contribution of Gazzotti 18 Società Cooperativa, and in collaboration with L’OPEROSA and Immagini e Suoni, will host a new site-specific work which highlights the theme of sustainability, through contemporary art, by the Bolognese artist Francesca Pasquali.

Responsible art

The work is entirely built with Gazzotti waste elements, identified and selected by Francesca Pasquali in the company’s production environments. Brushes, pallets, packing bundles, cardboard, underfloor mats, empty paint cans, cardboard tubes, sandpaper, disused filing cabinets and binders, and many more. The author, for over twenty years, has been working with reused materials, often of an industrial nature, to give life to wide-ranging environments.

«SopraTTUTTO_aboveALL»: a sensorial and immersive experience

«SopraTTUTTO_aboveALL» is an environmental artistic installation, of sustainability and regeneration, which invites visitors to a direct, almost physical, confrontation with the material, expressing a profound passion for work, sharing and artisanal quality. Wooden strips and manufacturing materials, usually little known because they are considered production waste, become the absolute protagonists. Assembled and superimposed, they generate a sort of monument and plastic manifesto that celebrates Italian know-how and the importance of community work. The waste rises to an iconic symbol, and becomes the narrative thread of a story that speaks of tradition, innovation and continuous evolution. Hence the title of the installation, “SopraTTUTTO_aboveALL”: a truly contemporary mosaic work, made up of modules made of materials with varied textures and shapes. A tribute to art, shared work and the ability to reinvent what seemed destined to be forgotten. The work will be available on the following days and times: Thursday and Friday, February 6 and 7: from 6.00 to 11.00 pm Saturday, February 8: from 8.00 pm to 12.00 am, on the occasion of Art City White Night Sunday February 9: from 2.00 to 6.00 pm
